Three Pears

Here is my painting of three pears from the supermarket. I'm not quite finished yet. I did this much in one short sitting, which is pretty good for me. I hope to complete this acrylic painting before the pears are completely ripened. The changes I can see now that I need to make are: some of the brush strokes on the plate in the front need to be blended more. Then I need to play around with the pears to better position them. It is a new way that I have been painting, using much more acrylic paint on my brush. I guess I am trying to achieve the look of oils without the smell. I have been working on my other series of paintings of red poppies from my yard. I hope to add these all soon.
